دخلت شهد الى فصلها حيث قامت معلمة الفصل باستقبالها وتقديمها الى زميلاتها انها طفلة جديدة قادمة من مدينة بعيدة، القت شهد التحية على الزميلات واختارت مقعدا خاليا وجلست عليه تستمتع الى الدرس باهتمام وفي نهاية اليوم الدراسي تعرفت الى جارتها في المقعد زينه التى عرفتها الى الاختين سلمى ويمنى اللائي رحبن بها صديقه لهن 

جاءت الصديقات سلمى وزينه ويمنى الى منزل شهد واحضرن لها الزهور للترحيب بها في مدرستهم ومدينتهم وجلسن في غرفه شهد 

قالت زينه : ما اجمل غرفتك ياشهد انها رائعه فالسرير مرتب ومكتبك انيق وزجاجه يلمع والكتب مرتبه بعناية في مكتبتك والارض نظيفه وملابسك مرتبه على ارفف خزانه الملابس واحذيتك كلها تلمع داخل خزانه الاحذية انت محظوظة بوجود خادمة مطيعه تساعدك 

ابتسمت شهد وقالت لا يوجد لدينا خادمة

 قالت سلمى: اذن والدتك تنظمها لك 

قالت شهد: لا بل انظفها وانظمها بنفسي 

قالت يمنى : ما اروع ستارة النافذة ان شكلها جميل ولونها ونقوشها تشيع البهجة في الغرفة اكيد انها غالية الثمن سوف اطلب من امى شراء واحدة مثلها

 قالت شهد انها رخيصة الثمن وهى مصنوعه من القطن المصري لقد اخترتها مع امى 

واكملت شهد قائله: ان الستائر القطنية تحجب اشعه الشمس الضارة كما انها لا تتحمل بالكثير من الاتربة 

قالت يمنى: وما الضرر من التراب؟ ان شتارة غرفتنا انا وسلمى محملة بالتراب

 قالت شهد: ولكن هذا خطير على صحتكما انه يسبب امراض الجهاز التنفسي ويسبب حساسية الصدر

 قالت سلمى: بلهجه ساخرة وكيف ذلك؟

 قالت شهد: عندما تتحرك الستارة بفعل الهواء او المروحة فان ذرات التراب تدخل الى الرئتين 

قالت زينه: دعونا من هذا ودعونا تلعب

تغير وجه شهد عندما اخذت زينه وسلمى ويمنى يقفزن ويلعبن فوق سريرها وهن يرتدين الاحذية فطلبت منهن ان يتوقفن عن اللعب والا يلوثن سريرها الذى تستعمله للنوم فقط وليس للعب 

قالت يمنى لشهد : من علمك ان تكونى حريصه هكذا على النظافة والنظام؟

 قالت شهد: والداي وكذلك معلمتي وانا بدوري اعلم اخوتى الاصغر منى وكذلك اصدقائي انصرفت الصديقات وهن غاضبات من شهد ولكنهن طلبن منها الحضور غدا لمنزل زينه

في اليوم التالى اجتمعت الصديقات الاربع في غرفه زينه ،

 قالت يمنى: انظري ياشهد!! ان غرفه زينه اوسع من غرفتك وسريرها اغلى ثمنا من سريرك وهنا نحن نقفز عليه باحذيتنا كما تعودنا وهى ايضا تشاركنا في اللعب وتسمح لنا بتناول العصائر والحلوى عليه ولا تغضب مثلك وقالت سلمى انظرى الى الاضاءة القوية الجميلة انها افضل من الاضاءة الخافته في غرفتك 

قالت شهد: ان ما تفعلينه هذا خطأ فالسرير لابد من الحفاظ عليه نظيفا دائما وجعله للنوم فقط وهذه الاضاءة القوية تؤذى العيون 

لم يمنع غضب شهد من تصرفات صديقاتها ان تسارع الى منزل سلمى ويمنى لتطمئن على اخيهما الصغير ايمن ذى التسعه اشهر الذى تم انقاذه بعد ان ابتلع قطعة من العاب اختيه وةهو يزحف على الارض هنأتهما شهد بسلامته وقدمت له الهدايا ونظرت شهد حولها فاذا غرفه سلمى ويمنى كانها غابه من القذارة والفوضى قامت شهد بالمساعدة في تنظيف وترتيب الغرفة معهما ووضعت كل الالعاب على ارفف عاليه وطلبت منهما ان يخرجا التلفاز والكمبيوتر خارج الغرفه لانهما يصدران اشعه شديدة الخطورة على الصحة 

كم كانت سعادة شهد عندما جاءت اليها الصديقات زينه وسلمى ويمنى وعرفن كم كن مهملات وطلبن من شهد ان ترى غرفهن بعد التنظيف والتنظيم قالت شهد : يجب ان يحب كل طفل غرفته فهى عنوان شخصيته وبقاؤها نظيفة وهادءة ومرتبة ينعكس على حياته وليشعر كل طفل انه ملك وان غرفته هى مملكته الصغيرة الجميلة كل شيء فيها قد شارك في اختياره كل شيء مرتب في مكانه ان غرفتى هى لى الوطن اجد بداخلها السعادة والامل 

Shahd entered her class, where the class teacher greeted her and introduced her to her classmates. She is a new child coming from a distant city. Shahd greeted the classmates and chose an empty seat and sat on it, enjoying the lesson with interest. At the end of the school day, she met her neighbor in the seat, Zina, who knew her to the two sisters, Salma and Yomni. Who welcomed her friend to them

The friends Salma, Zeina and Youmna came to Shahd's house and brought her flowers to welcome her in their school and city and they sat in Shahd's room

Zina said: How beautiful is your room, witness, it is wonderful. The bed is tidy, your desk is elegant, the glass is shining, the books are neatly arranged in your library, the floor is clean, your clothes are arranged on the shelves of the wardrobe, and your shoes are all shining inside the shoe closet. You are lucky to have an obedient maid to help you.

Shahd smiled and said we don't have a maid

 Salma said: So your mother organizes it for you

Shahd said: No, I clean it and organize it myself

Yomna said: What a wonderful window curtain. Its shape is beautiful, its color and patterns spread joy in the room. Sure, it is expensive. I will ask my mother to buy one like it.

 Shahd said that it is cheap and it is made of Egyptian cotton. I chose it with my mother

Shahd continued, saying: Cotton curtains block the harmful rays of the sun and do not bear a lot of dust

Yomna said: What is the harm in dirt? The curtains of our room, me and Salma, are full of dirt

 Shahd said: But this is dangerous for your health, as it causes respiratory diseases and causes chest allergies

 Salma said: With a sarcastic tone, how is that?

 Shahd said: When the curtain moves by the air or the fan, the dust particles enter the lungs

Zina said: Let's get out of this and let's play

Shahd's face changed when she took Zina, Salma and Yomni jumping and playing on her bed while they were wearing shoes. I asked them to stop playing and not to soil her bed, which she uses for sleeping only and not for playing.

Youmna said to Shahd: Who taught you to be so keen on cleanliness and order?

 Shahd said: My parents, as well as my teacher, and I, in turn, know my younger brothers, as well as my friends. The friends left, and they were angry at Shahd, but they asked her to come tomorrow to Zaina's house.

The next day, the four friends met in a dressing room.

 Yomna said: Look, witness! Zina's room is wider than yours, and her bed is more expensive than your bed, and here we jump on it with our shoes as we used to, and she also joins us in playing and allows us to drink juices and sweets on him, and she does not get angry like you and Salma said, "Look at the beautiful strong lighting, it is better than the dim lighting in your room."

Shahd said: What you are doing is wrong, the bed must always be kept clean and made for sleeping only, and this strong light hurts the eyes

Shahd's anger at the behavior of her friends did not prevent her from rushing to Salma and Yemni's house to check on their nine-month-old brother Ayman, who was rescued after he swallowed a piece of his sister's toys as he crawled on the ground. From the filth and chaos, Shahd helped clean and tidy the room with them and put all the toys on high shelves and asked them to take the TV and computer out of the room because they emit radiation that is very dangerous to health.

How happy was Shahd when the friends Zaina, Salma and Yomna came to her and knew how neglected they were and asked Shahd to see their rooms after cleaning and organizing. Shahd said: Every child should love his room, because it is the title of his personality, and keeping it clean, quiet and tidy reflects on his life, so that every child feels that he is king and that his room It is his beautiful little kingdom. Everything in it has participated in his selection. Everything is arranged in its place. My room is my home. I find happiness and hope in it.
