اسْتَعَدَّتْ بَسْمَةُ للذَّهَاب مَعَ أُسْرَتِهَا إِلَى بَيْتِ
خالِهَا، وَكَانَتْ فَرْحَتُهَا كَبِيرَةً لَأَنْهَا سَتَلْتَقِي
بابْنَةَ خَالَهَا مَرْوَة.
ذَهَبَتْ بَسْمَةً وأسرتها إلى بيت خالِهَا، وَبَعْدَ

الْعَجودَةُ شَاهَدَ الْوَالِدَانِ ابنَتُهم بَسْمَةَ حَزينةً
وَعِنْدَمَا سَأَلَاهَا عَن السَّبَبَ، قَالَتْ : لَقَدْ أَخْطَأَتْ
مرْوَةَ وَلَمْ تُحْسِنُ اسْتِقْبَالِنَا، وَكَانَتْ تَمْزَحُ كَثِيرًا
مَعَنا أثْنَاءِ الطَّعَامِ، وَقَامَتْ قَبْلَنَا وَنَحْنُ نَأْكُلُ،
وَكَانَتْ تُعلِّقُ عَلَى طَرِيقَة أَكلنا.
قَالَتْ الْأُمُّ : بَعْدَ أَيَّام سَوْفَ نَدْعُوهُمْ لَرَدّ الزِّيَارَة
وَسَتَكُونُ فُرْصَةً جَميلَةً لتُصَحْحِي لهاَ أَخْطَاءَهَا
بِحُسْنِ تَصَرُّفُكِ مَعَهُمْ.
ابْتَسَمَ الأبُ وَقَالَ لَهَا : لَقَدْ لاسالت أَيْضًا أَنْهَا
لَمْ تُودِّعْك، وَتَأَكَّدْتُ أَنْها لَمْ تَتَعَدَّدُ ذَلْكَ، فَقَط
هِيَ لا تَعْلَمُ السُّلُوكُ الْوَاجَبةُ مَعَ الضَّيْف.
فَرحَتْ مَرَوَةُ كَثيرًا بمَا تَعلَّمتُهُ، وَعَدَتْ بَسْمَةَ
لأنه كُلُّ مَا تَعلَّمتْهُ.
جَاءَتْ مَرْوَةُ وَأُسْرَتُهَا إِلَى بَيْتِ بَسْمَةَ،
فاسْتَقيلتهُمْ بَسْمَةُ أَحْسَنَ اسْتَقَْبَال، ثُمَّ أَخَذَتْ
مَرْوَةُ إلَى حُجْرَتهَا، وَأخَذتْ تَذْكُرُ لهَا كَيْفَ
تَتَصَرَّفُ مَعَ الضَّيْفِ، وَطَلَبْ مِنْهَا أَنْ تُتَابِعَهَا
بهْتِمَام.
