سلوى طِفْلَةٌ كَسُولةَ بِعَكْس أخِيهَا أَحْمَدَ كَثِيرِ
أعْطَتْ الأُمُّ لَهَا طَبَقًا بِهِ حَبَّاتِ تُفَّاحِ لِتَضَعَهَا
عَلَى الْمَائدَةُ، فَسَقَطَ الطَّبَقَ مِنْهَا، فَتَرَكَتْهُ وَلَمْ
تَهْتَمْ.
أَسْرَعَ أَحْمَدُ وَقَامَ بجَمْع حَبَّاتِ التفاح وَقَامَ
بِغَسْلِهَا وَوَضْعَهَا عَلَى الْمَائِدَةُ، فَقَبَّلَتْهُ الأُمُ
وَشَكَرَتْهُ.
وَفِي المَسَاءِ اقْتَرَبَتْ الأُمُّ مِنْ سَلْوَى وَقَالَتْ لَهَا :
الْكَسَلُ ضَارٌّ بِكِ، وَلابُدْ أَنْ تُسَاعِدِي نَفْسَكِ
ليُحِبَّكِ الْجَمِيعُ.

بَدَأَتْ سَلْوَى تَتَعَاوَنُ مَعَ أُسْرَتِهَا، وَأَصْبَحَتْ
نَشِيطَةً مِثْلَ أَخِيهَا، بَلْ وَكَانَتْ تُنَافِسُهُ فِي أُمُور
كثيرة.
