قصه ابو قردان مصورة ومكتوبة
استيقظ عمى اسماعيل على صوت مؤذن القرية لصلاة الفجر فهب واقفا نشيطا سريعا وذهب لصلاة الفجر بمسجد القرية وما ان انتهت الصلاة حتى جلس بالمسجد يذكر الله حتى موعد شروق الشمس ثم صلى ركعتى الضحى وهب راجعا لبيته ليحمل ادوات العمل بالحقل والتى يستعملها في زراعته كالفأس وغيره من الادوات
ووضعهم على ظهر عنتر حماره والذي تربي منذ صغره على يد عمى اسماعيل فهو يعرف طريق الحقل ويحفظ طريق العودة للبيت
وما ان بدأ عمى اسماعيلالعمل بالحقل ممسكا بفأسه ذاكرا الله بسم الله حتى احس بالم شديد في مؤخره ظهره فربما ظهرت علامات الكبر والشيخوخه عليه
وما هى الا لحظات حتى حمله عمى ابراهيم صديق العمر وجاره العزيز وعاد به مسرعا الى البيت ، وما ان وصلا الى عتبه الباب اذا بهما يجدان عبد الرحمن ابن عمى اسماعيل راجعا من سفره الطويل بدول الخليج فاستقبلهما بحب وفرحه وفي نفس الوقت ظهرت عليه علامات القلق الشديد والخوف على والده وما ان انتهوا من سلامهم لبعضهم البعض وعناقهم وتقبيل عبد الرحمن ليد والده حتى هم عبد الرحمن واقفا في منتصف الحجرة وقائلا بعلو صوته
الى هنا انتهى دورك ياوالدي العزيز فلن اسمح لك بعد اليوم بنزولك الحقل وساكون انا المسئول مسئوليه كاملة عن جميع اعمال الزراعة فرد عليه والده مستبشرا بابنه بنبرة فيها حزن شديد ان العمل في الحقل هو عشقي الوحيد وهو السبيل للحفاظ على حياتي فهو يعشق العمل في الحقل
ولا يرضى عنه بديلا واخيرا اتفقا على ان يلتزم عبد الرحمن بالعمل مؤقتا حتى يشفى والده ويستطيع النزول مره اخرى وفي صباح اليوم التالي استيقظ عبد الرحمن من نومه نشيطا متوجها الى الحقل
ليبدأ ما انتهى اليه والده واذا به يجد الحقل ملئيا بطائر ابو قردان فظن انه يؤذي الزرع ويتسبب في فساد الزراعة وذلك لبعد عبد الرحمن طوال فترة حياته عن الحقل واعمال الزراعة فقرر ان يقضي على هذا الطائر واعلن الحرب عليه مستخدما كافة الوسائل من مبيدات وشباك وخيال الماته وغيرها من الوسائل
واذا بعد فترة وجيزة يجد ان ارضه الزراعية قد ملئت عن اخرها بالديدان والحشرات الضارة فظهر على وجهه علامات استغراب ورجع الى البيت وهو حزين ولا يعرف سببا لما حدث فساله والده عن سبب حزنه فاخبره بما حدث فضحك والده ضحكه عاليه
فاستغرب عبد الرحمن من ضحك والده عليه فاخبره والده قلائلا الا تعلم ياعبد الرحمن ان طائر ابو قردان هو من الطيور الصديقة للفلاح فهو الذي يقوم بالقضاء على الحشرات والديدان الضارة بالتربة الزراعية وانه يجب عليك ان تفرق بين صديق الفلاح وعدوه
والى هنا ما كان من عمى اسماعيل الا انه اعلن عن انتهاء اجازته الاجبارية ونزلمع ابنه عبد الرحمن الى الحقل وبدأ باصلاح ما افسده عبد الرحمن ونزع الشباك والفخاخ والاشياء التى وضعها ابنه وما هى الا ايام معدودة حتى ظهر ابو قردان مرة اخرى منتشرا في انحاء الحقل معلنا عن بدء مرحلة القضاء على كافة الديدان والحشرات الضارة بالحقل وفرح عبد الرحمن بذلك وفرح معه والده واحتضنه وتعلم عبد الرحمن درسا لن ينساه ابدا

It was only a few days until Abu Qardan appeared again, spreading throughout the field
