وقف العصفور الصغير سفروت مع بعض اصدقائه من العصافير فوق شجرة التوت التى اخرجت اوراقا خضراء وثمارا لذيذه فقال سفروت لاصدقائه ان هذه الشجرة شجرة عظيمة نأكل ثمارها 

ونستظل باوراقها ولسنا وحدنا الذين نستفيد منها بل يستفيد منها كثير من الناس سمعت الشجرة كلامه وقالت هذا صحيح ولكنى لا استفيد شيئا مما يستفيدون بخيرات ولن اظل هكذا اعطى ولا اخذ شيئا

وظلت الشجرة تفكر في حيلة حتى لا يستفيد احد بشيء من خيراتها وعندما جاء الربيع اكتست الاشجار من حولها بالاوراق الخضراء الجميلة ولكنها قررت الا تخرج ثمارها ولا اوراقها بل تظل عارية 

جاء سفروت واصدقاؤه فوجدوا الشجرة التى يحبونها كثيرا عارية تماما ليس بها الورق الاخضر الجميل وال الثمار اللذيذة فاصابهم حزن شديد وقفوا فوق شجرة قريبة منها وسعدت الشجرة بما فعلته 

وبينما كان الحاج ابراهيم يتجول مع اولاده في البستان اذ رأى الشجرة عارية تماما والشجر من حولها تكسوه الاوراق الخضراء وتزينه الثمار اللذيذة فقرر قطعها

سمع سفروت الحاج ابراهيم وهو يأمر اولاده بقطع الشجرة في الصباح فاسرع اليها واخبرها بما سيحدث لها ورجاها ان تخرج اوراقها وثمارها قبل ظهور الصباح ولكنها اصرت على موقفها 

وفي الصباح جاء الحاج ابراهيم واولاده فقطعوا الشجرة ليستفيدوا بخشبها وكان سفروت واقفا مع اصدقائه فوق شجرة قريبة فحزنوا حزنا شديدا 

عاد سفروت الى عشة حزينا واخبر امه بقصه شجرة التوت فقالت الام: ان هذا جزاء من يبخل عن الناس ياولدي 

The little bird, Sefrot, stood with some of his sparrow friends on top of the mulberry tree, which brought out green leaves and delicious fruits. Sefrot told his friends that this tree is a great tree whose fruits we eat


And we seek shade with its leaves, and we are not the only ones who benefit from it, but rather many people benefit from it.


And the tree kept thinking of a trick so that no one would benefit from anything of its bounties, and when the spring came, the trees around it were covered with beautiful green leaves, but it decided not to produce its fruits or leaves, but rather to remain bare.


Sefrot and his friends came and found the tree they love so much, completely naked, without the beautiful green leaves or the delicious fruits. They were very sad. They stood on a tree close to it, and the tree was happy with what it did.


While Hajj Ibrahim was wandering with his children in the orchard, he saw the tree completely bare, and the trees around it were covered with green leaves and adorned with delicious fruits, so he decided to cut it down.

Sefrot heard Hajj Ibrahim ordering his children to cut down the tree in the morning, so he hurried to her and told her what would happen to her and begged her to bring out its leaves and fruits before the morning appeared, but she insisted on her position.


In the morning, Hajj Ibrahim and his children came and cut down the tree to benefit from its wood. Sefrot was standing with his friends on a nearby tree, so they grieved greatly.


Sefrot returned to his sad nest and told his mother the story of the mulberry tree. The mother said: This is the reward for those who are stingy about people, my son.
