The Two Frogs

A flock of frogs was strolling in the gardens, when two frogs fell into a deep hole.

All the frogs hurried to the edge of the puddle, saying to them, "You won't make it... you'll die... the puddle is deep... you won't be able to go that far!"

The two frogs had tried to get out, but to no avail. Fadud despaired and said, "The frogs are right. I'll never make it." He let himself fall. He lost consciousness.

But the other frog embraced him and wouldn't let go. He struggled to stay still while holding on to his friend. At the top of the well, the frogs mocked him and said, "You couldn't jump out by yourself. Can you forgive while carrying another frog?" But the frog did not despair, nor did he stop trying. He looked at them and smiled.

After a while, the frog made a powerful leap and succeeded in reaching the top of the well with his friend. All the frogs sat on the lilies, basking in the joy, and asked him, "How did you do that?"

But he did not answer them, and continued pointing at them. They understood that he was deaf and could not hear, and he said to them in sign language: “Your encouragement helped me a lot to climb up!”
