هُدَى طفْلَةٌ لا تَهْتَمُّ بن النظافة أَسْنَانِها أَوْ تَمْشِيط
شَعْرِهَا، وَلَا تُرَتِّبُ سَرِيرَهَا، وَلَا تُنْجِزُ وَاجِبَاتِهَا.
وَفي مَسَاء يَوْم ذَهَب الْوَالدان لزيَارَةُ مَريض،
وَأَوْصَت الأُمُّ ابْنَتَها بالدُّخُول إلى سريرها لتنام،
وَلَكنَّها اسْتَغَلَّتْ خُرُوجَ والدَيْهَا، وَجَلَسَتْ تُشَاهد
تلفزيون ولم تمن.
عَاتَبَتْهَا الْأُمُّ كَثِيرًا، حَتَّى بَدَأَتْ تُغَيِّرُ مِنْ سُلُوكها
للأفضل
أسْرَعَتْ هُدَى لبريدهَا، وَفي الصَّبَاحَ اسْتَيْقَظَتْ
مُتَاَخْرَةً، وَلَمْ تَسْتَطِعِ الذَّهَابِ إِلَى الْمَدْرَسَةِ
فَبَكَتْ وَقَرَّتْ تَغيير سُلُوكها.
عادة الْوَالِدَانِ فَوَجَدَا هُدَى تَجْلِسُ أَمَامَ التّلْفَاز،
فَغَضِبَا كَثِيرًا، وَقَالَ لَهَا الْأَبُ : لَقَدْ نَسيت وَعْدَك
بعض الشهر الذي يفضل بدُروسك
هَمَّتْ هُدَى بنَظَفَتهَا وَبِمُسَاعَدَةُ أُمِّها
أَعْمَال الْمَنْزِلِ، وَأَيْضًا بمُذَاكَرَهُ دُرُوشَا، فَفَرحَ
الْوَالِدَانِ كَثِيرًا، وَكَذَلكَ فَرحَتْ مُعلَّمةُ الْمَدْرَسَة،
التي طَلَبتْ منْها الْاسْتمْرَارَ عَلَى هَذَا الْمُسْتَوَى
الْجايِّدُ، فَفَرحَتْ هُدَى وَوَعَدَتْها بِالتَّقَدُّم أَكْثَرَ
وَأكْثَرَ.
