الْفَارُ الصَّغِيرُ فَرْفُورُ شَقِيَّ جِدًا، يَصْنَعُ الْمُقَالِبَ فِي
أَصْدِقَائِهِ وَقتَ اللَّعِب، ثُمَّ يَضْحَكُ عَلَيْهِمْ.
كَانَ أَصْدِقَاؤُهُ الْفِتْرَانُ يَغْضَبُونَ مِنْهُ وَمِنْ شَقَاوَتِهِ،
وَلَكِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَمْتَنِعُ عَنْ صُنْع مَقَالِيهِ المُزعِجَةِ.
وَفي يَوْم كَانَ أَرْنُوبُ يَلْعَبُ وَهُوَ سَعِيدٌ فَقَالَ فَرْفُورُ
لِنَفْسِهِ : سَأَصْنَعُ مَقْلَبًا في أَرْنُوب وَأَضْحَكُ عَلَيْهِ.
أَسْرَعَ فَرْفُورُ وَوَضَعَ قِشْرَةً مَوْز في طريق أَرْنُوب ، فَوَقَعَ
أَرْنُوبُ عَلَى الأَرض وَانْجَرَحَتْ قَدَمَهُ .
وَفي يَوْم كان القط ميشو يَسِيرُ في الشارع، فقرر
فزفُورُ أَنْ يَصْنَعَ فِيهِ مَقْلَبًا يَضْحَكَ عَلَيْهِ لَكِنَّ مِيشو
اكْتَشَفَ الحِيلَةَ. هَجَمَ ميشو عَلَيْهِ وَأَرَادَ ضَرْبَهُ، لَكِنَّ
فرْفُور هَرَبَ وَهُوَ يَصْرُ طَالِبا ُ النَّجْدَةَ ، ورَآهُ الْأَصْدقاء
وَضَحِكوا عَليْهِ ، وَلم يُحاول أحَدٌ مُسَاعَدَتَهُ.
عَلِمَ فَرْفُورُ أَنَّ مَقَالِبَهُ عَرَّضَتْهُ لِلأَذَى فَقَرْرَ أَنْ يَنْتَهِيَ
عَنْ فِعْلِهَا طُوَالَ عُمْرِهِ، وَعَادَ إِلَى اللَّعِب مَعَ أَصْدِقَائِهِ في
سَلَام مَرَّةً أُخْرَى.
