القرد سناكس قرد مشاكس يحب أن يضايق من حوله وكلما مَرَّ على جماعة
من سكان الغابة قفز عليهم من أعلى الأشجار أو جذب منهم ما في أيديهم
وربما قلب عليهم ما هو موضوع أمامهم من مشروبات.
كان سناكس يرى فيما يفعل نوع من المداعبة وخفة الظل ولكن الجميع كان
يضيق بما يفعل وكثيرا ما كان أصحابه من القرود يحذروه ويقولون له أن
مشاكساته قد تسبب له الكثير من المشكلات لكنه لم يكن يهتم بقولهم.
ذات يوم تنكر سناكس في هيئة قرد عجوز أعمى وارتدى منظار أسود لذلك،
وخرج يسير في الغابة وهو يُدبِّرُ مقلباً لأول من يراه.
وبينما هو واقف ينتظر مَرَّ عليه فيل ضخم فناداه قائلا: سيدي القادم من
بعيد توقف لمساعدة أعمى مسكين.
فتوقف الفيل وقد أشفق على القرد ولم يعرف أنه سناكس وسأله الفيل:
بماذا يمكنني ان أساعدك؟
قال له القرد : أريدك أن تحملني على ظهرك وتنقلني للطرف الأخر من
الغابة.
فإني كما ترى عجوز وضرير لا أرى الطريق.
رق الفيل لحال القرد ومَدَّ له خرطومه وحمله على ظهره وسار به.
وهنا بدأ القرد يضايق الفيل فلم يثبت في مكان وأخذ يتحرك بكثرة بل
وكان يقفز على ظهر الفيل، فانزعج الفيل من ذلك وقال للقرد : توقف عن
الحركة أيها القرد العجوز إنك تثير أعصابي
ضحك القرد وهو يتحرك وقال: عجوز .. هاهاها... أنا قرد عجوز...
هاهاها ... هاهاها...
وزاد القرد من حركته وَمَدَّ يده في أذن الفيل وبدأ يعبث بها وضاق الفيل
بشدة من القرد وتأكد أنه يتعامل مع قرد مشاكس وأنه وقع في خدعة.
وفي لمح البصر رفع الفيل خرطومه وضرب به القرد وهو يتحرك هذه
الحركات السريعة.
وسقط القرد من فوق ظهر الفيل وانكفأ على وجهه وصرخ القرد بشدة وأمسك
عينه .
كان الفيل عندما ضربه قد أصاب عين القرد التي أخذت تنزف وهو يصرخ
منها عيني عيني..
